Nach ein paar Tagen \u201eAkklimatisierung\u201c hab ich mich aufgemacht, per Daumen zu meinem Ziel, welches nach meiner Schulterverletzung nicht mehr im, f\u00fcr amerikanische Verh\u00e4ltnisse nahe gelegenen Denali National Park, sondern Tausende Kilometer weiter im S\u00fcdosten lag, zu gelangen. Von Anchorage nach Haines sind es ungef\u00e4hr 1\u2018200 Kilometer (756 miles), danach f\u00fchrt eine F\u00e4hre in vier Stunden bis nach Juneau, welches nicht ans staatliche Strassennetz angeschlossen und nur per Wasser- oder Luftweg zu erreichen ist. Ich hoffte, die Strecke in zwei bis drei Tagen zu schaffen und hatte Gl\u00fcck, denn ausser ein paar l\u00e4ngeren Durststrecken (da w\u00e4hrend Stunden kein Auto vorbeifuhr!), sind mir die Mitfahrgelegenheiten jeweils fast in die H\u00e4nde gefallen. So traf ich nach zweieinhalb Tagen, fast gleichzeitig mit meiner Freundin Jill aus Juneau, in Haines ein, wo wir die n\u00e4chsten Tage verbringen wollten.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1456\" auf mich. Zusammen mit einer weiteren Freundin, Ela, plante sie ein paar Tage auf den Tourenskis in den Bergen um Haines.
